9/12 Parish Well

G.V. II


Wellhouse and water pump. Dated .1903. Cast iron pump with no spout;
cranked shaft with 3 pistons and wooden handle. Timber framed wellhouse;
hipped old tile roof, on wide overhanging eaves on large corner posts and
brackets. Wooden balustraded palustrade with a pair of central gates on
the south side with iron hinges and spikes. The date plaque is on the
right hand side with an inscription "This well was given to the Parish
of Hampstead Norreys by Harry Weber Esq, of Hawkridge 1903".
