School, now office. Dated 1877 in right-hand gable; altered. Coursed
sandstone, stone slate roof. L-plan: rectangular main range with short wing
to rear of right-hand end. One storey and 5 bays, the ends projecting
slightly and gabled; symmetrical, in Jacobean style: central porch with
diagonal buttresses, Tudor-arched outer doorway, weathered ashlar roof
surmounted by a gabled bellcote (bell missing); each side of the porch, a
3-light mullioned window and in each outer bay a similar 2-light window, all
under hoodmoulds with foliated stops; in the right-hand gable a shield
lettered "1877"; coped parapet to the whole, with exaggerated kneelers to the
gabled ends. Right-hand return wall, and rear gable of left end, each have
a large stepped 3-light window.
