House. 1830's. Sandstone ashlar and furrowed masonry, slate roof.
Rectangular double-depth plan, plus a short service wing set back at the
left-hand side, with a greenhouse built in the angle. Two storeys and three
bays, symmetrical, in classical style; rusticated long-and-short quoins,
1st floor sill band; Tuscan porch with 3 steps up to glazed door; 4-pane
sashed windows with moulded architraves and cornices; projecting eaves,
hipped roof with side-wall chimneys. Attached at left end a greenhouse with
a glazed and panelled door near to each end, pitched roof with ornamental
iron cresting. Rear of house has inter alia a round-headed stairlight
window.
