3/8 Baddiley Farmhouse

Farmhouse, circa 1870 with later alterations. Built as part of the
Tollemache Estate. Red brick, in English Garden Wall Bond, with tile
roof. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Rear wings (west) complete a "U"
shaped plan. l-to-3-light cast-iron lozenge windows to main
elevations. Entrance in (east) garden front is a part glazed oak door
formed into five vertical panels by beads. This is in an added
projecting brick porch with tiled gabled roof. The east gable has
timbers with a diamond motif and the north, 5-bay, return has a gable
with a roundel motif. The south elevation, also 5 bays, has two
gabled dormers with cast-iron lozenge casements, barge boards, and
finials. Ridge stacks with weathered stone ridge bands, divided flues
and blue brick caps.
