Large country house, now flats. C18 altered mid C20. Brick with hipped
old tile roof. L-plan with mid C20 extension on south west. 3 storeys
and cellars with blocked windows. Parapet. South front has 7 bays.
Sash windows with glazing bars in architrave frames; a half glazed central
door under a porch of slender Doric columns with broken entablature
and arched open pediment. Interior contains C18 staircase with turned
balusters, moulded handrail and panelled dado. B.O.E. (Berkshire) p.84.
