2 houses, formerly one. C16 origin with later alterations and additions.
Rubble, rendered, pantiled roofs with gable stack to left and central stack.
L-plan, formerly through passage. Single storey and attic, C19 gable fronted
wing to right, 2 steep gables to main block all with scalloped valance, 3:2
windows, all 2, 3 and 5-light casements, C19 casement in each gable, 9 panes
each light to left, 3 panes to right, central C20 9-pane dormer casement, door
to Rose Cottage in C20 porch has studs and strap hinges; C20 door to The
Cottage, north side of main block has one casement at ground level and one at
attic. Rear has all C20 windows and extensions, except one ground floor C19
casement in The Cottage, which has rear gable wing with plain bargeboards, Rose
Cottage has single storey extension. Interior: chamfered and stopped beams,
wall in Rose Cottage with exposed studs, plank and batten door with strap hinges.
