House, c.1800, pebbledashed with hipped grey slate roof. Gothick
symmetrical 2 storey 3 bay entrance front with projecting castellated
porch. Corners between east (garden front), north and south faces
chamfered. Tudor-arched window openings: some original iron Gothick
casements, others (in original sub-frames) replicas executed in lead.
Replacement French windows on south, in original opening with label.
Recent 6-panel west door in open lattice porch with bellcast roof in
keeping. 2 symmetrically placed rectangular pebbledashed chimneys.
Simple brick outbuilding with lean-to slate roof and 1 Gothick
casement linked to house by sandstone wall around stone-paved yard.
Interior: Altered, with replacement staircase. 5-panel doors, with
cases and architraves to main ground floor rooms, and 3-panel narrower
doors survive. Moulded plaster cornices in principal (north-east and
south-east) rooms. Iron grate in Tudor-arched surround (overmantel
removed) in north-east room: Regency style fireplace (brought in from
Bath) in south-east room.
