GV II

House. Early-mid C19 with few later alterations. Slatestone rubble with brick
dressings; partly rendered. Slurried scantle slate roof with ridge tiles and gable
ends. Gable end stacks with brick shafts.
Plan: 2-room plan, with central entrance and principal room to front left and right,
each room heated from a gable end stack. There is a later C19 service wing on one-
room plan to rear right, which is parallel to the main range and heated from a gable
end stack. To rear left there is an attached range of single storey outhouses.
Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 3 window front. Ground floor has C19 4-panelled
and glazed door with cambered brick arch and keystone. All windows are C19 16-pane
sashes with cambered brick arches and keystones. The left side is rendered, with
external stack. The right end is also rendered, with a C19 6-pane sash at ground and
first floor to the rear of the service wing. The outhouses attached to rear left
have door and casements, with axial stack.
