6/16 Smithy


Smithy, circa early C19. Rubble stone with roof of massive slate gabled on
left and gable end on right. Louvres in roof near ridge.
L shaped plan. Single storey. 9-pane fixed timber casement on right. Beneath
asymmetrical gabled projecting wing on left, 2-light centre-hung casements 2 panes
per light with triangular stone ventilation opening above. Inserted VR letter box
in gable end. Stable door in left hand side wall.
Later brick extension on right hand gable end with hipped slate roof.
Interior appears unaltered although not inspected.
