SX 15 NE BOCONNOC

House, circa early C17 with circa mid-C18 wing. (No access between). Rubble
stone with cob. Partly rendered. Slate roof, hipped on west (right) with slightly
lower projecting wing with gable end to north. Brick stacks to projecting chimneys
on east side and stone lateral stack projecting on north elevation.
C17 part comprises a plan of 2 rooms with a vestibule on the west. House
possibly once continued further west with a service wing to the right of the cross
passage (now vestibule) and hall and parlour to the left (as existing). C18 wing
projects to form L-shaped plan.
2 storeys, asymmetrical front. North elevation of C17 part with lateral stack
near centre, flanked on left by 3-light timber casement window with glazing bars in
later projecting bay with sloping slate roof and on right by later projecting stone
and render porch with sloping slate roof. Entrance door with ovolo-moulded lintel
with scroll stops. First floor with two 2-light timber casements with glazing
bars. Later wing, projecting forward on left, unrendered on 2 sides. West
elevation with door near centre under sloping roof supported on timber posts. 2-
light timber casement window with glazing bars to right on ground and first floor.
Blocked openings to left and above door.
Interior of C17 part; 3 simple covered timber screens dividing the vestibule,
staircase and parlour. Heavy chamfered beam at junction of hall with staircase.
Covered plank and muntin screens on first floor. Roof space not accessible.
Chamfered cambered collars and face pegged trenched purlins visible.
