Farmhouse. Early - mid C19, with few later alterations. Slatestone rubble with
brick dressings. The front and the left side rendered. Slate roof with ridge tiles
and gable ends. Gable end stacks with brick shafts.
Plan: Double depth plan, with central entrance and principal room to front left and
right, each heated from a gable end stack. The kitchen is to rear right and the
dairy to rear left, with a stair hall to rear centre.
Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 3-window front. All windows are C19 16-pane sashes
with cambered arches. Central C20 glazed door with flat hood on wooden posts. The
right end has a small single storey privy attached, and C20 window at ground floor to
right. The left end is blind. At the rear, first floor has two C19 16-pane sashes
to left and one to right; central C19 14-pane sash lighting the stair. At ground
floor to right a C19 16-pane sash; porch with hipped roof, with a 6-pane window to
rear and C19 stable-type plank door at the left side. To left there is a C19 2-light
8-pane casement with iron stanchions and a C20 multipane window. All openings with
cambered brick arches.
Interior: Not inspected, but may retain good plain features of the C19.
