6/241 Severn Lodge Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C18 with C19 and later alterations. Rubble, rendered and
scored as ashlar, stone dressings, slate mansard roof with raised coped verges
and brick gable stacks, wrought iron canopied balcony with leaded roof along
1st floor front, corrugated iron roof to rear extension. Symmetrical front.
2 storeys and 3 windows, central 6-panelled door in plain surround with
decorative fanlight, 16-pane boxed sash to each side, 1st floor has central
boxed sash and large 4-pane casement to each side, plinth, cornice, parapet and
coping; balcony in poor condition at time of survey (July 1984), panels of
wrought iron missing. West elevation has opening and window at cellar, sash at
1st floor and two 4-pane fixed lights at attic; east elevation has single
storey extension, 6-pane sash at 1st floor and attic. Rear has irregular
windows including tall sash with round head and radial glazing bars lighting
stair, 2-storey extension with pitched roof, with 2 sashes at 1st floor.
Interior: 6-panelled doors, straight stair at rear of entrance hall.
