C18 or early C19. Two storeys. Rubble. Slate roof. Two chimneys. Quoins. Windows
with plain reveals and box sashes of sixteen panes. Chamfered doorway of large stones.
Door of six raised and fielded panels. Back and sides altered recently. Large
chimneypiece inside with massive stone lintel.
Formerly an inn, known successively as the Fencing Boys, the Cross Keys and the
Rose Tree. (Annals).
