LOWER KINNERTON C.P.
KINNERTON ROAD,
Former Central Farm Building associated with Moor End Farm
(Formerly listed as Moor End Farm; Central Farm Building, MAIN ROAD (South side))
G.V. II
Shippon and cartshed, late C19. Brown brick with timber-framed central
gable (facing back of farmhouse) set in hipped red tile roof.
Symmetrical, perhaps showing French stylistic influence; almost square
in plan with cartshed under a segmental brick arch on sandstone corbel
blocks facing the farmhouse. Above the cartshed is the hayloft, with
central loading door, surmounted by the jettied timber-framed gable.
To each side and rear, under the broad hipped roof, are tyings for
cattle. The boarded doors and small-pane iron casements, all under
sandstone lintels, are symmetrically placed.
