Manor House,'THMH 1632' (stone). Red sandstone with slate roof; late
C17 and later wing (east). Stone, brick and pebble-dash. Original
portion 3 bay (a:b:a) with projecting central gable. 3½ storeys to
front, 2 to back. 2 storey right wing. Plain projecting plinth;
moulded strings at first floor and at base of back parapet;
stone-coped gables with shaped kneelers and pointed finials; 2
symmetrically placed diminishing chimneys in corners of central
projection, each with 2 diagonal flues. Projecting gabled porch and 2
half-dormers to east wing. 2,3 and 4-light mullioned windows,
leadwork replaced, to front; 4 and 5-light mullioned and transomed,
leading replaced (diamond panes), to back. Modern shaped boarded oak
door. Oriel in end gable, left, probably modern. The surrounds to
windows in the original block are double bevelled with single bevelled
mullions; in the east wing surrounds are single bevelled.
