Public House, late C17, with alterations and additions. Brick nogged
timber frame with thatch and slate roofs. The building is in three
sections, 2-storey, single storey and attic, and single storey; each
section has one window bay. There are timber framed and brick rear
wings (west) forming an "F" shaped plan. Stone plinth, irregular
framing with the centre bay the earliest. The south section has
timbers simulated in cement mortar whereas those of the north section
are mainly painted on. Ledged and battened doors. Flush casements
with single glazing bars, the upper window in the centre section in a
dormer.
Interior: Inglenook beam. Bevelled beams and exposed joists
throughout the building.
