C16-C17. Timber framed and plaster painted black and white. Much restored.
Gabled end to street: 3 storeys; 2 slight overhangs with original bressummer
at 2nd floor; carved brackets with animals etc; C19 12-light wood mullioned and
transomed window; C19 canted oriel window to 2nd storey. Modern shop fronts.
Probably built after the Great Fire of 1583.
Nos 12, l6 and 18A, 18, 20, 20A and Nos 22 to 28 (even) form a group.
