Lock-keeper's cottage, 1829 or a little later, of painted brick with
roof of shaped clay tiles. 2 storeys, 2 windows, with projecting
cross-gable right, plus l-storey wing left with slightly projecting
cross-gable. 1 small-pane casement; 4-pane casements; some altered
windows in 1-storey wing; square 1-storey bay window to give
lock-keeper full view of canal. Window heads are cambered. Lateral
chimney right; ridge chimney over junction of 2-storey wings; chimney
on 1-storey wing, left. The chimneys diminish with separated square
flues.
