2/50 Little Chapter

GV II

House, late C17, altered. Coursed rubble painted white; Kerridge
stone-slate roof with gable and ridge chimneys of stone; central gable
(with attached Hillside Cottage, q.v., left). Of 2 storeys and 3
windows. The mullioned windows to each storey right of central gable
are chamfered and with diamond leaded glazing, all restored. Mid/late
C20 glazed door and small-pane upper window in central gable, each in
old chamfered case of stone with moulded label. Boarded door far
right with C20 wood label. Internally the right wing has lobby
entrance, inglenook (with some timbers altered) containing massive
plain stone fireplace against right gable, chamfered oak beams in
lower rooms and oak purlins in bedrooms. The rooms behind the central
gable are altered.
