Millhouse. C18 with C19 and C20 additions and alterations. English
garden wall bond brick with stone slate roof. Two storeys. Road
front: Two pilaster buttresses dividing the front into three bays, the
two bays to left and the buttresses being of late C19 or C20 brick,
that to left of late C18 or early C19 brick. Two openings at left to
mill leat with timber and stone lintels and vertical iron bars to
openings. One cambered-headed ground floor window of 3 casement
lights and two similar first floor windows of 3 casement lights.
Right hand gable end: Cambered double door to ground floor with loft
above and pulley to gable apex. Left hand gable end: Staircase
abutting with stone treads leading to first floor doorway with stone
hinge dressings and C20 half-glazed door. Ground floor doorway to
left of this. Rear: Central projecting wing having stone base and
lean-to roof with the ground-floor window and three cambered-headed
exits to mill race with stone surrounds to right.
