7/41 Cobbledicks Cottage and wood store
to rear

GV II

Cottage. Circa C17. Extended to rear in C19. Restored in 1970s. Rubblestone with
steeply pitched slate'roof with gabled ends. Large stone stack on left hand gable
end. Originally single depth plan. Plan altered. 2 storeys, asymmetrical, 2 window
front. Ground floor with 2-light casement with glazing bars on left and C20 glazed
door on right beneath slate sloping hood. Above, 3-light timber mullion window on
left with chamfered mullions, stanchions between and diamond leaded glass. 3-light
casement with glazing bars to right. On left hand gable end, C20 3-light casement
with glazing bars, chamfered timber lintel and slate hood. C19 2-light casement
above with HL hinges, chamfered timber lintel and slate hood. Very small light above
in attic. Outshut to rear with first floor approached by external rubblestone steps.
Wood store to rear, rubblestone with half hipped slate roof. Main room with chamfered
ceiling beams with run-out stops. Fireplace with renewed jambs. Cloam oven. Roof
timbers not inspected.
