Limekilns. Early C19. Slatestone and granite rubble.
Plan: Large set of 3 kilns, of rectangular plan, about 20 metres across, with a lean-
to addition at each side. Built into the bank for top loading.
The front has a half-arch at each side ; each arch leads to a vault, and each vault
has a stoke-hole at the inner side, for the central kiln. Smaller circular kiln at
each side with stoke-hole at the outer side of each vault. The left side of the kiln
has a 2-storey lean-to with door at ground floor and upper loading door. Right side
has a single storey lean-to with hipped roof, door and window.
