GV II
Beam engine house ruin. Circa early C19. Killas and granite rubble, and granite
jambstones, and coursed dressed granite to bob wall. Timber lintels. 1-brick arch(west) and brick upper stage to chimney.
Rectangular single-cell plan with round chimney clasping south west corner. Thickerbob wall to east. Originally 3 storeys and survives to top of first floor level except vestiges of second floor walling attached to chimney. West wall has round-headed brick-arched opening to ground floor and over. Bob wall (east) survives to original height of stone walling; originally framed and weather boarded to second floor and gable. Ground floor opening only. Tapered rubble chimney to height of projecting granite ovolo-moulded collar with brick stage of reduced width over. This beam engine house is an important early example which was repaired as a ruin in 1985.
