Stable block, now residential. Mid-C19. Coursed squared
rock-faced gritstone with gritstone dressings. Plain tile
roofs, stone coped gables with finials and an ashlar ridge
stack. U-plan. Single storey. Wall enclosing courtyard to
east has a depressed gothic-arched. gateway with crow stepped
gable. Gable ends to east have a 3-light recessed and chamfered
mullion window with a blind quatrefoil above. Within the
courtyard are gothic-arched openings and cross windows. The
north range has C20 alterations to the coach houses. The west
range has a gabled centre with circular clock face and two
tiered bell turret with lead spirelet and weather vane. One C19
gabled dormer on the south range, with 2-light chamfered mullion
window. Five C20 dormers on the west and north ranges. Listed
for group value only.
