TL 61 NW AYTHORPE RODING HIGH EASTER ROAD

3/42 BARN, APPROX. 15 METRES

Barn, C17, with C18 alterations. Timber-framed, weatherboarded, rooF of
corrugated iron. 6 bays with midstrey, W bay partitioned from remainder.
2 bays to E of midstrey have jowled wallposts and cambered tiebeams with
curved braces. To W of midstrey the posts are unjowled, with straight
tiebeams and hanging knees, indicating C18 alteration. Primary straight
bracing in walls throughout. Single W bay always used for storage of a
different product, e.g. chaff.
