Long-jetty house, early C16, with C20 rear extensions and 2-storey porch.
Timber-framed, exposed at front, remainder plastered, roof tiled.
Two storeys, 3 bays, of medieval plan, originally with a rear external
chimney in central bay, replaced by axial chimney in cross-entry in late
C16. Roof originally of crownpost construction, converted to clasped
purlin. Rear stair tower of re-used timber, C20. Timber frame exposed
internally, close-studded, curved braces trenched inside studs. Evidence of
former oriels, removed. One unglazed window on first floor at rear of stack,
with diamond mullions exposed. RCHM 5.
