Farmhouse. C17 origins, C19 and C20 alterations. Whitewashed plastered cob and
stone. Wheat reed thatched roof hipped at left end. Chimney of local brick on
ridge. Originally 2 rooms wide probably with baffle entry. Outbuilding adjoining
at right incorporated into house accommodation with roof raised late C20. 2
storeys. 2-window front + former outbuilding. Front door under slated pent roof
which continues over C19 canted sash bay windows to left and right. First floor
window left C19 2-light C20 casement, 4 panes per light. Interior. Unmoulded
crossbeams of heavy scantling, axial beams. 2 fireplaces to stack, that to the
left hand room has cambered chamfered fireplace beam, probably re-used. Large
fireplace to middle room has chamfered fireplace beam with ogee stops. Roofspace
not inspected.
