Description

ST KEVERNE COVERACK
SW 71 NE
7/121 Harbour Walls,
Pier, Quay and Slips (formerly listed
15 1 70 as Harbour quay)
GV II
Pier with inscribed stone 'T Ellis 1724' and later extended. Rubble serpentine
with granite dressings, changing direction at an obtuse angle to enclose a shallow
harbour that dries out at low tide. On inside of pier a pair of integral stone
steps and over seaward side a shelter wall with a later rubble seat in the inner
side. The harbour is bounded in part by low natural rock faces and in part by
rubble retaining walls and quay. A stone rubble slipway curves down from the west
jetty into the harbour. A later slipway runs down to the harbour from the south.
