2 cottages, circa C18. Whitewashed rubble walls with absestos slate roof and
brick chimneys. ii storeys, 6 window range (on front) asymmetrical. Ivy
Cottage: 12-pane horizontal sliding sash window near centre of elevation with
entrance to right. C19 panelled door set back. On first floor, two 16-pane
centre opening casement windows. Brick chimney on north-west gable end. Single
storey whitewashed extension under corrugated roof on north-west gable end.
Good C18 octagonal-panelled cupboard in main reception room. Vine Cottage:
ground floor with a 12-pane horizontal sliding sash window on the left and a 16-
pane casement window on the right. Early C19 gabled porch centrally placed with
timber panelled sides and asbestos sheet roof. Two 16-pane centrally opening
casement windows on the first floor. Lateral front chimney stack on the left
with a brick chimney stack on the right hand gable end. Interior: C18 joinery
intact with simple C18 panelled screens to central passage. Cornish range in
fireplace in right-hand room. Bowtell moulded ceiling beams. (First floor of
Ivy Cottage and Vine Cottage not inspected).
