House, formerly house and outbuilding. Late C17/early C18 with recent renovations.
Rendered cob with steeply-pitched slate roof, formerly thatched. Range 1 room
deep, probably extended at higher end with partly projecting, shouldered gable-end
stack. Further ridge stack backing onto old stable which is now incorporated as
part of the house accommodation. 2-storey, 3-window range with off-centre enclosed
porch with gabled slate roof. Windows throughout carefully renewed casements with
glazing bars. Ground floor room left of house range has massive fireplace with
chamfered fireplace beam and timber jamb to right. Cloam oven with "A Gliddon,
Foundry, Marhamchurch" on cast iron door. Slate floor. Main cross beam chamfered
with straight cut stops, axial ceiling beams chamfered with straight cut stops.
Roof raised. Chamfered principals to 4 bays on first floor. Pigeon holes in old
stable front.
