SX 29 NW POUNDSTOCK NEWMILL

10/139 Mill House about 1 metre south of
- New Mills Farmhouse

GV II

Water mill house. C18 or earlier origins. Whitewashed plastered cob on stone with
hipped slate roof. Mill leat formerly to west side, ground floor entrance to east
side, first floor entrance to north side. 2 storeys. 2 light late C17-early C18
timber mullioned window at first floor on south side has moulded mullions. Some
original planking to first floor. 2 pegged collar rafter trusses. Machinery
removed. C20 lean-to to east front and smaller C20 lean-to to north of same not
included in the listing.
