REDRUTH WHEAL UNY SW 64 SE 5/326 Chimney stack approx. 150 metres west of pump engine house on site of Wheal Uny Mine at SW 693 407 GV II Chimney stack to former tin mine, now derelict. Probably later C19. uncoursed granite and kinds rubble. Slightly tapered cylinder with small rectangular openings at ground level on east and west sides, brick cornice, former brick upper stage missing. Forms part of conspicuous and attractively sited group within sight of remains of Basset Mines at Carnkie, Carn Brea (q.v.).
