GV II
Public house, now private dwelling. Probably early to mid C18, altered.
Large random rubble with massive irregular quoins, slate roof. U-plan
formed by 3-unit main range with 2 unequal rear wings. Two storeys and 3
wide bays, symmetrical; narrow central doorway with panelled door, 2 square
6-pane sashed windows at ground floor, low 6-pane sashes above these, and a
4-pane sash above the door, all these openings with large irregular quoins
and those at ground floor with massive lintels; beneath the right-hand
window, remains of a 2-light mullioned cellar window. Gable chimneys. Sides
and rear slurried; gable chimneys to both wings. Interior not inspected.
History: said to have ceased to be public house in 1911.
