Farmhouse, now house. Circa late C17, with additions probably of circa C18; C20
alterations and additions. Painted stone rubble. Slate roof with ridge tiles and
gable ends. Gable end stacks, with rendered shaft to left, large external stack with
painted rubble shaft, weathered, to right. Partly rendered.
Plan: 2-room plan, with central entrance, hall/kitchen to right and parlour to left.
Circa C18, a single storey unheated outshut was added to the right end as a dairy.
In C20, a 2-storey addition was made at the left end, with a linking block for
entrance and stair hall between the old house and the addition.
Exterior: 2 storeys, nearly symmetrical 2 window front. First floor has two C20 2-
light 2-pane casements. Ground floor has central C20 half-glazed door with gabled
hood, 3-light 3-pane casement to right and 2-light 2-pane casement to left, both of
C20. At the right end, the single storey dairy has a hipped roof, with former
doorway to front, with 4-pane window inserted; C20 window at the right side. At
first floor to left a 2-light 2-pane C20 casement. The left end has the C20 stair
hall and entrance hall attached; to end left the 2-storey C20 addition with gable end
to front and rear. The rear is blind; rendered; with scalloped slates to the rear
slope.
Interior: The partition walls to the cross passage have been removed; at ground
floor it is now all one room. Ground floor has C19 ceiling beams. To end right, the
fireplace has granite jambs and chamfered wooden lintel with scroll stops. Claom
oven to rear left. The doorway to the dairy has a plank door with strap hinges.
