8/23 Tregender Manor Farmhouse including
- front garden wall

Farmhouse including front garden wall at roadside. Circa early C19, possibly a
remodelling of an earlier house. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Some
granite ashlar in rear wing. Scantle slate roofs with brick chimneys over the gable
ends. Cast-iron ogee gutters.
Plan: double depth plan plus 2 storeys service wing at right angles behind rear
middle forming overall T-shaped plan. 2 rooms at the front with wider probably
kitchen, left, and parlour, right; cross passage between leading to stair and rear
service rooms.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Slightly irregular 3 window south front. Doorway right of
middle. C20 door. Circa late C19 or C20 6-pane horned sashes. At the left-hand
gable end is a C19 barred pantry window and an original 12-pane hornless sash over.
Interior: not inspected.
Tall coped rubble wall adjoins left hand side of front and adjoins later C19 low wall
surmounted by wooden dowelled railings. The gateway is flanked by granite monolithic
piers surmounted by ball finials.
