Farmhouse, now 2 houses. Probably C18 or earlier, remodelled circa early C19.
Stuccoed front, otherwise painted rubble. Scantle slate roof over lower left-hand
part, otherwise asbestos slate. Brick chimneys over external rubble stack of far
left gable end; over gable-ended party wall and 2 chimneys over the right hand wall
where the roof returns with hips to parallel roof behind the right hand side of the
house. Cast-iron ogee gutters.
Plan : long irregular 4-rooms long range originally single depth but in circa the
early C19 the right hand end was extended behind to form a double-depth plan
providing a stair hall and shallow service room; left of middle a first floor bow
window was added both front and rear. C20 extension at rear left.
Exterior : 2 storeys. Overall slightly irregular 7 window south east front. Doorway
towards right within south east front. Doorway towards right within C20 glazed
porch. Pair of 3-panel circa early C19 doors and sidelights with geometric glazing.
Circa late C19 horned sashes. Bow window to first floor third from left is horned
copy with paired brackets to the cornice (similar window at rear).
Interior : Circa early C19 open-well open-string stair with fluted stick balusters on
plinths; some moulded ceiling cornices and panelled doors.
