Mill with millhouse. Datestone 1687 probably resited, otherwise circa late C18 or
early C19. Painted rubble walls with granite dressings, some reused probably C17
masonry. Grouted scantle slate roof over 3 storeys part, right, asbestos slate,
left. Gable ends. Brick chimneys over gable end towards left and over cross wall.
Cast-iron ogee gutter at rear.
Plan: 2 storey 2 room former miller's cottage far left and large 3 storey rectangular
mill with integral millhouse on right. Rubble walled ramp at right hand end to first
floor (stone floor) loading doorway. Machinery removed.
Exterior: Overall 6 window south front: symmetrical 2-storey 2 window cottage front
with central doorway, left, and 4 window 3 storey mill and millhouse front, right.
C20 doors, circa late C19 or later horned sashes. Openings of cottage unaltered;
those of the mill and millhouse mostly original. The millhouse, middle, is a
symmetrical 2 window front with central doorway. The mill, right, has doorway at far
left and doorway cut in former window opening far right. Blocked first floor loading
doorway.
