Public house. Probably C18. Granite rubble with granite dressings to the ground
floor of the front, painted rubble at the left-hand side wall; rendered above,
possibly over cob. Asbestos slate over front of roof, otherwise grouted scantle
slate roofs except for dry Delabole slate roof over single-storey part at rear right.
Tall gabled stack at left (original gable end), brick chimney over party wall, right,
and over axial wall between rooms of wing at rear left. Cast-iron ogee gutters.
Plan: Overall irregular U-shaped plan: 2 rooms at the front with wider probably
kitchen/living room left and parlour over lower ground right, flanking a cross or
through passage; service rooms in rear outshut and in wings at approximately right-
angles behind either side. Eaves heightened at the front circa late C19.
Exterior: 2-storeys. Regular 4 window north-west front with doorway under the third
from left window. Ledged door. Circa early C19 16-pane sash to ground floor right;
horned copies at ground floor left of doorway and circa late C19 4-pane horned sashes
to first floor. There is another early C19 16-pane sash in the left-hand wall (first
floor, left of original gable).
