Farmhouse and adjoining barn. Probably C17 or early C18, remodelled, extended and
eaves heightened in the C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle
slate roof with gable ends. Massive brick chimney over other gable end and stump of
brick chimney over other gable end (party wall) of house.
Plan: originally a 2 room house with wider hall/kitchen, left, with large fireplace,
parlour right and cross or through passage between. In the C19 a pantry or dairy
outshut was added at rear middle with a doorway approaching by external stone steps
and a general purpose farm building with storage over probably shippons was added on
the right.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Slightly asymmetrical 2 window south front to house with
doorway right of middle. C20 ledged door, circa late C19 or C20 12-pane horned
sashes.
Barn has 2 doorways (1 blocked) and small window openings.
Interior: unaltered since the C19. Cornish iron range in hall and horseshoe grate in
parlour.
