12/124 Low Longlands and
adjoining barn

II

Farmhouse and barn. Dated and inscribed over cross-passage entrance IRF 1688
with C19 alterations and extension. Roughcast over cobble rubble under C20 tile
roof with stone chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays with 2-bay extension to left
and 2-bay barn to right, all under common roof. Cross-passage entrance between
barn and house has plank door in painted chamfered surround with dated lintel.
Irregularly spaced casement and sash windows; those which are smaller are
probably in original surrounds, all others are C19. Blocked fire window to
right. Extension has 2 C20 doors in plain reveals under painted lintels and
sash windows in painted stone surrounds. Barn has enlarged cart entrance to
right and plank door to left with loft door above. Small blocked C17 upper-
