Farmhouse and barns. Probably late C17 with barns dated and inscribed over vent
R.H. 1832. Painted rendered walls on irregular stone plinth. Graduated
greenslate roofs with C19 stone chimney stacks. Barns of mixed limestone rubble
with red sandstone flush quoins. 2 storeys, 6 bays, with adjoining higher
L-shaped barns making overall U-shape. 6-panel top-glazed door in round-arched
porch on fluted pilasters with decorative keystone. Ground floor sash windows
under plain cornices; upper floor sash windows, some with glazing bars, all in
original painted stone surrounds. Barn has large segmental cart entrance,
further plank doors and loft doorways; slit vents.
