6/74 Rowan Cottage


House. Late C17 with early C18 and C19 alterations. Coursed red sandstone
rubble walls with flush quoins and moulded eaves cornice. Corrugated iron roof
(replacing thatch) and red sandstone chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays.
Off-centre panelled door in C19 stone surround. 2-light flat stone-mullioned
windows, those to right of entrance enlarged, but on upper floor still with flat
mullion. Blocked right fire windows, those on left still open. Rear outshut.
