House, c.1845 with later alterations. Ashlar with plinth and rusticated
quoins. Graduated slate roofs. Symmetrical: 2-storey main block with
single-storey wings; 5 bays overall (1:3:1). Steps up to central panelled door,
with traceried overlight, in architrave under-Doric porch. Canted bay window to
either side and 3 windows above. Window to left-hand wing and blind recess to
right-hand wing, both semicircular-headed. Windows all sashes. Eaves cornice
throughout; blocking course, central dormer window, and corniced stone end
chimneys to main block. Interior is exceptionally fine with woodwork,
plasterwork, and fittings of a high quality throughout.
