Row of four estate cottages. Dated 1859, for Wilton Estate. Flint
and brick bands, Welsh slate roof, brick stacks. Two-storey, 4-
window; casements. Four planked doors with flat wooden hoods,
four groups of three round-arched casements to ground floor. Four
groups of two round-arched casements to first floor, carved stone
tablet to centre with date 1859 and initials MP. Right and left
returns have C20 lean-to extensions and one round-arched casement.
Rear has C20 lean-to extensions to Nos 2 and 3, planked doors and
steel casements to ground floor, first floor has eight 2-light
casements. Interiors not inspected. Good example of Wilton Estate
building in Wylye valley, similar style to Nos 1, 2, 3 and 4 Great
Wishford (q.v.).
