North east aspect. Now known as 89 Main Street. The building has been altered since the 1979 listing. The two semi detached cottages have been knocked together to make a single dwelling. The front doorways and porches have been replaced by windows identical in appearance to the others. The white limestone plinth course has been continued across the building. A single storey entrance and utility room has been added to the left, entirely in keeping with the rest. Almost hidden by the ivy at the first floor are small, rectangular, stone, panels bearing a fleur de lys within a lozenge. I interpret this as being the mark of patronage of a Welby lady.
