Small commercial building, formerly auction rooms. Founded
1823, probably built at that time (RCHME). Rendered, roof not
visible. 2 storeys, one bay width; a mid C19 canted oriel with
plain sashes and panelled skirt is set at the bottom of a
recessed panel with slender Doric pilasters in antis; the
ground floor has a full-width C20 shop front. Above the oriel
is a wide fielded panel, and there is a moulded cornice with
blocking-course and coped parapet. At the time of the RCHME
survey (1970) the building remained in its original use; at
the time of survey it was not in use.
INTERIOR not inspected.
