Former Waterhouse, Bakewell

Uploader's Comments

Grade 2 listed building dated 1831, built for the Duke of Rutland as a water supply pump or filter house. Built of ashlar sandstone, with a flat roof and rectangular in plan. It has an arched doorway with a modern door, and date panel above.
No original machinery exists.
It was part of Bakewell's first piped supply of water, from a nearby reservoir, and now in a private garden.
