Pair of houses. Early C19. Coursed dressed sandstone with
ashlar dressings; limestone to rear; red tile roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3 plus 2-window range. Chamfer-rusticated
quoins. The division of the 2 houses marked by a recessed
panel with arched head on corbels seen in profile.
Woodside Cottage (to left): central 4-panel door in ashlar
surround with moulded imposts, plain lintel and cornice.
Projecting stone sills and plain surrounds to 6/6 sashes on
ground floor and to 3/6 sashes on first floor.
Butts Cottage: similar but asymmetrical having door to right
and small casement beyond.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
