Barn, stable, cartsheds. Probably early C19 with later
additions. Rubble with patent clay tiles, extensions to W with
slate roof over rubble, English bond brickwork, and timber
posts with plank panels and doors.
A very long narrow barn has a long L-range to the rear, and a
lean-to across about two-thirds of the W front, towards the
farmhouse. At the left end is a small stable with a plank door
and small 2-light casement.
The main lean-to has a wide pair of doors, then 5 bays with
posts on stone bases, filled with a series of doors and panels
leaving long ventilating slot above. To the right the main
barn has main doors or vertical boarding to eaves height.
INTERIOR: series of 12 very narrow bays with lightweight
propped collar trusses, no purlins, and no rafters, but the
tiles direct to large battens. The last 2 bays to the north
are closed off with a full-height rubble wall.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: barn is attached to the farmhouse by a
stone wall running forward from its north end.
