Bridge. 1826. Sandstone ashlar. Single round river arch with voussoirs,
flanked by slightly-projecting full-height pilaster buttresses. 4-course
parapet with rounded coping. Splayed ends with rounded piers to approaches,
and with cast-iron lantern base. Inscribed on plaques: 'TWO LAMPS WERE
ERECTED ON THIS / BRIDGE AD 1902 TO COMMEMORATE / THE CORONATION OF EDWARD
VII / ON AUGUST 9 IN THIS YEAR' and 'THIS TABLET WAS ERECTED BY GRATEFUL /
PARISHIONERS TO COMMEMORATE THE GREAT FLOOD MARCH 22ND, 1947. / ALSO IN
MEMORY OF KINDNESS SHOWN BY CAPT. R. BOYLE FOR THE LOAN OF THE / BOAT AND
MR. A. ELLIOT AND HIS CREW. / DEPTH OF WATER 21 FEET'.
